the first floor is a large reception area, with a security guard at the front desk watching cameras covering the bottom fifty-nine floors. there's a sign that lists out the businesses, a coffee cart, a snack machine--the ritzy shit one would expect from tony stark. jason's stepping out from the large elevator towards the center in a ratty hoodie and sweats, boots unlaced and hair unbrushed, as he waves babs down from just inside the doors.

he looks a little different. younger and yet older all in the same breath. and the the white streak hanging over his forehead. )

[She stops underground then makes her way up to meet Jason. He looks terrible, not that she's going to tell him that since she's there to make him feel better not worse.

And take a look at those locked doors and AI. Mostly for him though.

He can also just deal with the fact that she's going to give him a hug whether he wants it or not. It just comes naturally from her so the Jasons had better get used to it.]

( jason doesn't stop her, but he does go tense for a moment before he relaxes into it. it's babs, the worst she could be planning to do is put a tracker on him - and he's already showing her the space he's kept mostly to himself over the last half year. )

Not much point, is there? ( here there is. he doesn't have a hood, it's visible, and he does have a daytime ID to maintain. one tied to a very small dick grayson who he doesn't want getting fucked over due to any bad decisions jason makes. but that's a later problem. )

Bottom sixty floors're full of civillians an' their businesses. Mostly low income on the housing floors--Stark doesn't charge 'em much. Kas can give you a tour later. Top twelve floors are ours.

[She recognizes it's not going to be an easy thing. Even if he was her own Jason, she'd take it easy knowing how messed up things can be. It's best to try and be normal about everything considering how pissed off he gets when they try to go easy on him.

I don't even know him and I like him already. [Stark. Anyone who bothers taking care of the so-called little people over profit can't be all bad.] Shame I missed out.

( a loose roll of his shoulders, before jason's raising an arm and wrapping it around her shoulders. a return-hug. see? he can hug, this is fine. )

An egotistical, condescending asshole who'll act like he's better than everyone just 'cause he's some kinda nanotech genius. ( all of which is true, but also isn't getting into all the other shit he found out about stark. it's not relevant, and jason doesn't feel the need to dig into it too much. so he pulls out of the hug after a moment instead, and waves for barbara to follow him as he heads towards the elevator. )

There's a biometric scanner I'll need to run you through to get you a pass to the upper floors. Kas'll do a full body and voice recognition scan, too.
