It might help to know where they're coming from. You know, direction. Is it a freak storm, did we move into the path of something, did something blow up or was blown up and we need to keep an eye out.
Even a general direction beyond from space would be useful. Maybe we can hack into the local version of Hubble or check out public telescopes for info.
Stealing it would be easier. We could just hack into the systems and override it for our purposes. Instead, Tim's looking to find one that is technically being trashed, so it's a repurpose.
